Kohpangan is a small island in the gulf of Thailand. Ko Phangan used to be the backpackersheaven, nowadays a 'more mixed range' of people come to the island here. One of the least cost intensive way to travel from capital city to Koh Phangan is to get yourself joint tickets from Songserm Travel Center for ferry and express boats, buses, train, planes to Koh Phangan. Another option is to fly an 1 hr. flight by Bangkok Airways every few hours from Bangkok to Koh Samuiand take the catamaran speed boat to Phangan.
One exemption from the otherwise relaxing and quite island is the FullMoon Party Beach when Haad Rin Nok transforms to a dance floor made of sand.
